MOVIE MANIACS SERIES 5

There is much Speculation lately, that much of this series has already been chosen and is being worked on as we speak.  Therefore, instead of just listing our Picks for the line, we will mix it up with those who are rumored.

Jason X :  This one is pretty much a sure thing since it was originally planned for Series 4.  The only way he won't make it out is if New Line seriously screws up the release of the movie somehow.  Even then, he will most likely still make it.

Jeepers Creepers: Already announced to be made by McFarlane, it would fit perfectly into the Maniacs line, especially if the movie is as good as the buzz says it is.  The pic on the left is to not spoil anything from the film too much, but the shots we've seen of the creature seem impressive.  Needless to say, a sound feature would really enhance this figure.  See the flick and you'll know why.

POSSIBLE BOXED SET

Gremlins : A Rumor to already to be on schedule for Series 5, Gizmo and Stripe have been sought after by a certain number of Maniacs fans in the past.  The real interest here will be if McFarlane makes 2 smaller figures, Bigger versions (a'la Chucky) or goes the Boxed set route.

Darkness : Not much can be said about this baddie from Legend, except that he would make a great looking maniac, right KK?

Pinhead : Damn I hate beating a Dead horse, but by this point he's the only Major League Baddie still Absent, and this line needs an Anchor.

Endoskeleton : Why not keep the Terminator license going and give fans what they have always wanted; a decent looking T-800 Endoskeleton.  Paint is the Key here and lighted eyes would complete the Masterpiece.  Plus maybe things with Arnold will have worked out by now and we will get a true T-800 sculpt.

Ben Willis : Not much to say here, except I still like the way this guy looks and he would look fantastic next to the rest.

Tall man : Here he is, finally included!  This is the fan voice choice.  After all the years, he never goes away.  I have never really wanted this figure, but you have to admire Fan support like that, and frankly, you could do worse.

Carl from The Cell : This one is kind of out of left field, and a very strange candidate, but you have to admit, any of his incarnations would make a sweet looking figure!

New Nightmare Freddy : Not bloody likely, due to the resculpt in series 4, but it is still in demand, and would still look great so he's in!

Jack from The Shining : See Above statement.

And Finally, The Djinn from Wishmaster, just because he would be a great looking figure.

BOXED SET

Riddick and the Hammerhead Alien from Pitch Black : This one comes in Rerospect, from many fans, but especially to Randy, who helped pull it all together.  Originally, I wanted to include RIDDICK, but couldn't fit him into McFarlane's "Too Human" World.  Then it clicked.  We need another Boxed Set for this Series, and Riddick and the Hammerhead Alien from Pitch Black, would be perfect.  A figure of Vin Diesel, one of the coolest Hombre's walking the planet, would definitely be a worthy Addition.

EXCLUSIVES

Macready and Blair Monster: My personal vote for this years exclusive set, inspired by the great Ash vs. Pit Witch set.  Everyone has wanted heroes, and especially Macready.  Throw in some crates, a snow floor, a flamethrower in his hands and the original Blair monster from THE THING and you have one awesome exclusive.

Loomis/Laurie and Michael Myers : People have been pining for the Halloween Hero and Heroine, and this would be a great chance to release them.  Dare we hope for a 3 pack??? (Bedroom scene)

18 INCH

Jason : We Want him, We need him, We love him!  And not the Jason X Version either.  Look to part 7 my son, look to part 7.

Pumpkinhead, Candyman, T-800 : All fine choices to join Jason, especially if that likeness thing with Arnold gets resolved.
