The Workshop is the place where I will post my own and others Ideas for figures that I think would be outstanding and/or perform well in the Movie Maniacs line.
In this Edition we will Discuss:
MOVIE MANIACS SERIES 3
The licenses are still being sought and ideas being explored, but I want to get my ideas in Now, while development is still going on. I can't say for sure if any of my ideas are ever seen or heard by the makers, but I will say it has been VERY coincidental as far as series 2 and some other ideas that were reconsidered goes. Either way, I want to get in now.
1) Ash-EVIL DEAD TRILOGY:
What's not to like about Ash? He is the most in demand figure and IS being looked into so here's hoping the license comes through.
ACCESSORIES-Possessed Hand, Iron Hand, Chainsaw that fits onto arm, Necronomicon, and that all important BOOMstick.
2) Pinhead-HELLRAISER:
We all hopefully know the story with the license and we all would still like to see it made. I guess I am just trying to keep hope alive. The prototype is done and ready to go so pray the people that own the rights loosen up a bit
ACCESSORIES-Chains Chains Chains! maybe some hooks and barbs, Oh and you can throw in that Puzzle Box Thingy too.
3) Candyman-CANDYMAN:
This is a given in the modern age when he was considered to be up there with Jason, Freddy and Mike. Candyman saved Horror in the 80's. It was the Scream of it's time, and I mean that as a compliment. You cannot have a Movie Maniacs line without Candyman. That's all there is to it.
ACCESSORIES-Well, since the hook should definitely be part of his costume, how about something with some bees on it, and maybe a Mirror for good measure.
4) Dr. Hannibal Lechter-THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS:
This would be a triumph in the Movie Maniacs line. Who is more defining or deserving of the title? Plus most everyone is a fan of the film! Between all the Oscars and Sir Anthony Hopkins, this would be the treasure of the series. I seriously Beg you to make this figure!
ACCESSORIES-Strait Jacket, Removable Bite mask, and Strap on Gurney would make this figure the ultimate!
5) Jack Torrance-THE SHINING
Again, the definition of a Movie Maniac and people love Jack. No Doubt in my mind this would be a popular figure. Kubrick Fans alone would eat it up since his recent passing has left a void with them.
ACCESSORIES-Can we say AX. Maybe a Typewriter to bring out the character.
6) Snake Plissken-ESCAPE FROM NY, LA/
Ben Willis-I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER
I know some of you are saying, Why Snake and a split vote? Well, I have heard some rumors already and Snake is one of the stronger ones, so I have decided to throw my support behind this figure since I would love it! It is destined to be one of the Coolest figures ever made.
ACCESSORIES-His Twin Hip Guns, TrenchCoat, Knife, Big freakin Gun and Wrist Timer.
As for Ben, he is just continuing in the fine Horror tradition set by the line thusfar. The first Film was decent and the Character would make a decent figure. Nothing from the second film though, please! Have him Holding the hook with his hand. However, if you feel 2 Hook killers are too much for one line, I cast my vote for Candyman.
ACCESSORIES-Raincoat should be molded on, but a removable hood may be possible. Plus that Hook with a Handle. An extra nice touch would be a little note saying I Know what you did last summer.
THE ALTERNATES:
The Djinn from WISHMASTER-Although the films were lacking, the character is very nice. the design and detail would make a great figure!
ACCESSORIES- His Jewel
David from THE LOST BOYS-One of the coolest Vampire flicks of all time, and when I think of Kiefer Sutherland in his Vamped out mode, I see one cool figure.
ACCESSORIES-His blood bottle and possibly some post feeding body parts.
ALIEN/PREDATOR-Sure there's little hope for these, but they would be cool and deserve a decent representation
ACCESSORIES-Alien should have an Egg with Facehugger and possibly a Chestburster
Predator should have his vast number of Weapons, a removable mask and some trophy Skulls including Human and Alien.
EDWARD SCISSORHANDS-I know you may be wondering again, but this is another one from the rumor mill and the more I think about it, the more I believe it would be a great looking figure.
ACCESSORIES: Geez, it has been a long time since I have seen this flick. Anyone got some good accessory suggestions?
DRACULA from Bram Stoker's DRACULA-In whatever form, this would make a great figure! Old man, young man, Warrior, Wolf, Bat, the possibilities are endless. I chose the pic of the old man though because I thought it would make the best figure representation. Hey, now that I think of it...The Big Red Robe, the Funky Hair, I wonder if this what inspired Queen Amidala's look.
ACCESSORIES-Depends on the version, but a chalice would be nice for the old man.
