So many people write in and ask, "Should I open my figures, or leave them in the package?"
Now it would be great if there was a way to do both, but let's be realistic here. However, we have something that is a close second.
In this Edition of the workshop, we will share with you our method to opening your action figures in a way that will maximize your enjoyment of them. Using our method, you can open and enjoy your figures, while preserving the packaging so that they can appear carded once again. The great thing is, this can be used on almost all action figures made! Here's how it goes.
STEP 1
Using an Exacto knife, Razor Blade, or some other cutting utensil with a thin sharp blade (KIDS GET YOUR PARENTS TO HELP!!!) cut along the sections highlighted by the green lines. This will create a sort of "Door" to remove the figure from the package.
STEP 2
If done correctly the "Door Flap" should lift right up allowing you access to the inside of the package.
STEP 3
Now reach in and grab the bottom of the figure "Tray" and gently slide out of the package. On Movie Maniacs, it may help to slide your other hand behind the tray to help the top of the tray move over the marquee holder.
Now, just keep your figure tray handy and you should be able to re-package your figure whenever you like. As long as the bending was minimal when removing your figure, the "Door Flap" you created should snap right back, making the package appear closed.
There you go, the Best of both worlds!
