The Workshop is the place where I will post my own and others Ideas for figures that I think would be outstanding and/or perform well in the Movie Maniacs line.
In this Edition we will Discuss HORROR HEROES!
McFarlane has stated before that he wants to focus on the "Maniacs" as in Monsters, but I believe some of these guys to be just as worthy of being a MANIAC, and in some cases more so.
Few
figures could be cooler than SETH GECKO.
FROM DUSK TIL DAWN was nothing but cool, but what would you expect from Quentin Tarentino and Robert Rodriguez.
Seth Would be in his Black Suit and would have his trademark tattoo showing on his neck.
Accessories might include, a Crossbow, Stake, Briefcase, and maybe a bottle of Jack Daniels just for fun.
Of course other figures from the movie would be cool, especially Richie Gecko just to have the infamous brothers together, but since it's hard enough to even get a normal guy for consideration, I will try to stick with the basics. But since McFarlane does females so well, I think a Santanica Pandemonium figure would make a great and justified addition to the regular Maniac line.
Next
up, the one, the only, SNAKE!
Snake always has and always will exude an unwavering coolness in whatever situation he is faced with.
The possibilities of this figure are amazing. You could go the Black tanktop and Snow Camo pants of the original, or the Black Stealth Suit of LA.
Both are excellent outfits.
A Removable Black Trenchcoat would also be very nice!
Accessories are limitless also. I guess everything breaks down to which movie you model it after. I myself would try to work in a little of both. Regardless though he HAS to have his countdown watch.
Definitely have GUNS GUNS AND MORE GUNS. The Twin shooters with Holsters and one of the Big Bad boys.
Other possibilities the Cassette or spiked Bat from New York, and the Data Recorder, Cigarettes, and Holocam from LA.
He is
new and many of you may not know who he is yet, so if you aren't familiar with JACK CROW, I suggest you get to your local
video store and rent John Carpenter's Vampires.
Carpenters Characters are not only cool by nature (See Snake above) but they carry that fight to the death attitude and the sharpest wit.
Crow's outfit is simple. Leather jacket, Black T-Shirt, and Blue Jeans. This is a simple but effective kind of guy. Throw in his sunglasses for that perfect thing to clinch his attitude!
Accessories are simple as well. Custom Grappler Crossbow, long steel Pike, although I think the perfect accessory would be a Valek figure.
Either way, one of them needs to come with the Cross.

Due to the demand of many of you who read the page, I felt I had to include Sheriff Martin Brody here.
I have received a lot of mail requesting him, and although he probably doesn't have a great chance at being made, I do think HE would make a nice accessory for a JAWS toy.
Like it or not, it's probably his best shot. He is a cool character though.
Ok,
now I know he is not technically a Horror Hero, but to get any or most of these figures
made, McFarlane would probobly have to start another line dedicated to Action Heroes. This
has been a brainchild of mine for a while, but I never really thought it possible until
Movie Maniacs and now, hey, why the hell not.
Anyway John McClane is a figure my heart greatly desires. Bruce is THE MAN! and The Die Hard Films are legendary.
Do the original look from the original film. Dirty Tanktop, pants, and Bare feet!
Include a nice array of weapons like you did with the Solid Snake figure, and you have yourself a dream come true.
Last
but not least of course is ASH. This is one figure I have had numerous requests for and
have to agree.
The Ripped Clothes and possibly the Cape from Army of Darkness would be great Wear for Mr. Williams.
Accessories are a given. Removable hands including The Possessed hand, The Chainsaw hand, and the Iron Gauntlet Hand.
This figure would be so easy to make it isn't even funny. I hope the planning team at McFarlane decides to give him a chance and do him just right.
