Agent Dana Scully

Review

Depending on which review you read first, Mulder or Scully, you may see some repeat descriptions on their similar items, so you may want to skip the next couple of paragraphs, and let me fill you in on the wonder which is the Agent Dana Scully figure from Sideshow, a figure that has become my new favorite of in the Sideshow Universe.

First off, this edition I am reviewing contains the Sideshow limited edition FBI Windbreaker, so don't expect to find it unless you preordered or if you purchase it on the secondary market.  The jacket is a great accessory, and gives the owner the option of having the Agents in their traditional Suits, or throw on the windbreaker and they're ready for field action.

Back to the accessories for a moment.  Sideshow has included a gratuitous amount of them drawn right from the show.  You have the Agent's trademark Badges, Flashlights, and Guns of course.  The Badges are somehow photo printed from the same ones they used on the show.  Although you can't read everything because it's so small, but you can still see it there from the giant FBI letters to Scully's signature underneath her photo.  Did I mention that they actually clip on???

The Gun too is amazing.  The top portion slides back and forth, revealing the chamber and giving the option of fully loaded, or fresh out of ammo, and the clip is also removable and has ammo molded into it.

The Likeness on Scully is nearly flawless.  It is the best looking representation of an actor I have seen Sideshow produce to date, so I am not even going to speculate on how much Gillian Anderson fans are going to want to get their hands on this figure, and I'm trying very hard not to think what some of those fans will be doing with it.  (shudder)

She is in the Suit she is best known for, pulled from the Fight the Future movie I believe, and although the coat is a bit long, it still looks great.

Now, with Agent Mulder we talked about what we liked to call the 'Declaration' Accessory'. The Extra mile Sideshow went yet didn't have to just for the fans.  Agent Scully's Declaration' Accessory is her file folder.  Upon viewing it in the package, it just looks like your standard FBI folder, but when you open it up, out pours a stack of  files and photos of various characters in the shows history.  You can see the pic above for specifics, but this is painstaking detail folks, and a definite fan pleaser!

In closing, we thought we'd mention that if you do get the set, you'll be happy to know that the figures do stand in scale to each other which is always a nice touch.

The Truth is out there folks, and it's that this figure is near perfection.
