Review

Just a few short weeks ago  I reviewed Sideshow's Faith figure from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer line, and declared it to be my favorite Sideshow figure to date.

Well, the reign of that champion is short lived, and I have new favorites in the form of The X-Files Mulder and Scully.

Agent Fox Mulder here is simply one of Sideshow's best works to date.  The likeness to Actor David Duchovny is amazing and the detail and accessories included would please even the most jaded of X-Files fans.

First off, this edition I am reviewing contains the Sideshow limited edition FBI Windbreaker, so don't expect to find it unless you preordered or if you purchase it on the secondary market.  The jacket is a great accessory, and gives the owner the option of having the Agents in their traditional Suits, or throw on the windbreaker and they're ready for field action.

Back to the accessories for a moment.  Sideshow has included a gratuitous amount of them drawn right from the show.  You have the Agent's trademark Badges, Flashlights, and Guns of course.  The Badges are somehow photo printed from the same ones they used on the show.  Although you can't read everything because it's so small, but you can still see it there from the giant FBI letters to Mulder's signature underneath his photo.

The Gun too is amazing.  The top portion slides back and forth, revealing the chamber and giving the option of fully loaded, or fresh out of ammo, but the clip is also removable and has ammo molded into it.

The final accessory is Mulder's famous "I want to believe" poster which not only is the cherry on the top of this figure for fans, but also a declaration from Sideshow saying, we care about the fans and these figures, and here's something to show we are going to do things right.  Scully also has one of these "Declaration" pieces, but you'll have to read our coverage of that figure to find out what it is.

So, after years of excitement, and disappointments, X-Files fans finally have new figures in which they can be very VERY proud.
