Palisades
reveals what might have been for Resident Evil

It was arguably, the best video
game line of all time, and like many beautiful things, it was gone
before it's time.
I'm talking of course of
Palisades'
now extinct Resident Evil line, and doing so because the great
guys at
Palisades that take such immense pride in their work, were
kind enough to give fans a look at a figure for the line, that was
bumped due to the line's early demise. Here's what Palisades
had to say:
"Today, revisiting Resident Evil, thought
you might like to see a very early rough sculpt of a figure that
had originally been planned for Series 3. This figure, along with
a Hunter Beta, would have gone where William G-4 ended up. When we
began to realize that Series 3 was the last series we took
William, slated for Series 4, and bumped him up so that we could
finish the line with two of the bosses we really wanted to see get
made. "

hookup!

McFarlane
Collectors Club announces Maniacs exclusive

The pic above says it all.
It has been well speculated for several weeks now, but finally
confirmed today that the spawn.com online store has it's first
exclusive, and it's the clear stealth version of the original
predator from Series 5.
The figure is the same sculpt,
just now cast in clear plastic to represent the Predator's ability
to cloak himself and blend with his surroundings.
The figure will be available in
limited quantities from the McFarlane Collectors Club starting in
April.
There has been some discussion
about certain inaccuracies in the current lineup of Maniacs, this
one included. If you would like to see what all the talk's
about and put your 2 cents in, just visit

Neca
Strikes again with 18 inch JASON
Our good friends over at
Creature
Corner snuck into this years Toy Fair once again, and made a
very welcome and amazing discovery. Apparently NECA has
obtained the rights to do an 18 inch JASON!!! Here's the
excerpt from Johnny Butane's coverage:
"Along
with the 18" talking Pinhead that was announced while they were at
a UK show, there are also plans for an 18" Chatterer (which we
could not get a good pic of, sorry) and the first-ever 18" Jason
figure! They've been working with New Line to create the snow
globes (there's a Leatherface and Pinhead one planned, as well),
and decided to go one extra step further to see about making an
18" Jason. The go-ahead has been given, and Randy said they would
be working with Kane Hodder to get the likeness perfect."

will let players take control of monster hunters as they battle
through a variety of environments in a quest to take on Dracula,
Frankenstein, the Werewolf, and a various assortment of other

Just one week until Darkness Falls

One week from today marks the release of Darkness Falls, the story
of a vengeful wraith known as The Tooth Fairy, that was wrongly
accused of kidnapping children and murdered, and now haunts the
darkness waiting for her chance to strike back at those who
wronged her.
More importantly, it's a Maniac Movie. It was around a year
or so ago that we broke the news of the Tooth Fairy being in
Series 5 of the Movie Maniacs. Many of you have probably
leered at her on shelves wondering just who she is, well, next
Friday, find out for yourself, and if you haven't yet, pick up a
figure if you enjoy her. Check out the
Official Site to find out more.

Hell of a Trio

From the FX show
this past weekend: NECA celebrates the instant sell through of the
Pinhead resin statue!
From left to right. NECA Lead Sculptor Kyle "Tankman"
Windrix, Doug "Pinhead" Bradley, and NECA Director of
Product Development Randy Falk.
Initially we were going to produce 1000 statues but we had orders
for over 3000 in the first 2 hours. We decided to increase the run
to 1500 and add a limited edition of 150 Artist Proofs. We wanted
to keep the statue limited and offer Hellraiser fans something
truly special with this inaugural figure, says NECA President Joel
Weinshanker.
This past weekend NECA debuted several new products from
Hellraiser, TRON, and The Hulk - giving people their first glimpse
of what to expect at Toy Fair.
The
official word on Hellraiser Series 1

Pinhead (HR1)
Chatterer (HR2 Hellbound)
CD (HR3 Hell on Earth)

The second shot is of an Exclusive 2 pack of the Wire Twins from

Pinhead
Praises NECA
Doug "Pinhead" appeared at the FX Convention in Orlando Florida
this weekend, and stopped by
Real Radio 104.1 to speak to the
Monsters of the Mid-day.
During the Interview, a very loose Bradley joked around for the
Monsters answering their many questions about Pinhead, Himself,
the films, etc. and even gave them a taste of the Pinhead voice
and Dialogue.
among the many of the topics of the interview was the new line of
Hellraiser Toys to which Doug was very educated. When asked
if the were being produced by McFarlane, Doug was quick to counter
that they were made by NECA, an impressive new company that got
all of McFarlane's good artists. He also mentioned that he
had just seen the Prototype the night before in his Hotel room,
and was very proud of it and impressed by it. He mentioned
the many forms on which NECA will be releasing merchandise, and
the fact that the limited Statue sold out within 3 hours.
He also mentioned the just finished filming of Hellraisers 7 and
8, stating that he had sent an e-mail to Robert Englund stating
that he had caught up with him. He gave some opinions on the
films as well stating that 1 was still his favorite, 5 is the
weakest by far, 7 has impressive potential, and 8 he will be
interested to see how fans like it, he seemed to think it could go
either way. He also said that although the 2 latest films
were shot back to back, they were completely separate films.
