Series 2 is Set to Kill
These new pics have surfaced over at MCFARLANEGUIDE.COM. Formerly known as Brian's Spawn Collection, this is one of the best McFarlane based sites on the web.
There is a shot of each of the new Maniacs including a good one of Norman Bates.
As far as accessories go we have a little more to look at this time. Chucky, Michael, Norman, and Ghostface all come with knives. Ghostface will also have a Cell Phone and Norman has the removable wig. The Crow has a Guitar and Crow, but it's funny that I don't see the coat that was said to be molded on.
I am told by JOE, who spoke to McFarlane reps at Fangoria's weekend of Horrors, that Norman's Wig does come off, but I don't believe the dress will. Joe also said he got to see some pics of the upcoming SLEEPY HOLLOW line from the Tim Burton Film, and that a ROB ZOMBIE figure may be coming soon.
Thanks to LUKE for the pic and the heads up on the news both here and below.
Spencer Gift Stores Stocked with PG's

Many people have been reporting that Spencer Gifts stores have been getting in a good number of PG Maniacs. I can personally confirm this since my Spencers has done this. In addition to the Maniacs they also have several other great Horror collectibles. The 3 great dolls from last Halloween, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, and The Crypt Keeper, Scream Costumes, Chucky Dolls, and a cool little Scream String puppet that is only $5 are just a few of the great things they currently have in stock so check em out!

Norman Sighting and Killer Icons

This is a shot from the McFarlane booth at the Motor City Comic Con.
On the left is the long awaited Norman Bates figure from the Second Series of Movie Maniacs. This was the best shot I could find but you can still tell that the detail and sculpting is great. Nor word yet if that wig and dress come off but I hope so. Next to Norman is the Normal Chucky, nor word yet on if that will be his height but I wouldn't count on it since they are supposed to be about 6 inches from all the info I have heard. The other 2 figures in the shot are from the upcoming, and great looking, Austin Powers line of figures.
Thanks to MCFARLANEGUIDE.com for the use of the pic.

I recently came across this great page and I don't exaggerate when I say they have some of the best Icons and other Computer accessories I have EVER seen. They also already have Icons for Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace.
You can find the above Maniacs Icons by clicking one of the pics above and checking out the Icons Section. They can be located under the Movies and TV section.
Don't stop there though, check out the whole page! They also have great Fonts and Wallpapers so check them out
By the way, it's all free to download in case you were
wondering.

Ok so this is unrelated to the maniacs but I know of few of you at least have to be Star Wars fans as well and were probably out and about on Midnight May 3rd. Me and my friend Orac, who runs America's Queen, the best Natalie Portman website out there, were and I did a little sum up for his page.

Well, we finally have a development on when Series 1 Maniacs will be back in stores. Here is the word from Chet at McFarlane Toys:
Looks like late summer. We're hoping to

I'm a little late on reporting this, sorry about that, but this Months TOYFARE is out and it's the Toy Fair report Issue. Lots of news and info on upcoming lines including a small piece on the Maniacs. Nothing we haven't seen or heard but I figured some people still might want to see it so I scanned it in.
It's worth picking up though for the report, a free Poster of the STAP and Battle Droid featured on the cover, and an offer for a great looking Fathom figure. It will only be out another week or two so hurry if you want it.

On a side note, if you are a regular reader of any other Toy Magazines with price guides such as Lee's Action Figure Digest or Whites Guide to Collecting Toys, and you have a scanner, I would love to have Price guide reports from other magazines as well so if you can help out please E-MAIL me and let me know.

Series 2 to be UNCENSORED
The latest News from McFarlane Toys on Series 2 is that there will not be a "PG" version of the figures made for certain stores.
The figures will only be made in the PG-13 or "Bloody" version.
Of course, as with everything else, this is subject to change, but I think the majority of you fans I know you will think this is great news.
Whether this will impact where the figures are sold is yet to be seen.
The Second Inquisition
I am trying to get up a new lineup of questions for our friends at McFarlane Toys so if you have an original question about the Movie Maniacs line please send it in.
Please try to avoid questions having to do with where and when you can buy the first line again. This question is already noted and will be asked.
Also, I ask that you read the News and Frequently Asked Questions sections before posing your questions because your answer may be there already.
Thanks for your help!

Changes Yet again...
Seems as if McFarlane is really having some difficulty figuring out what to do with Series 2. Our good friend Chet with McFarlane Toys has now stated a somewhat re-arranged lineup for Series 2, I personally think it's for the Better. Norman Bates is Back in and Chucky will be from the Original Child's Play with a Bride of Chucky Boxed set to come later. Here is what Chet had to say:
The line-up now is (of course, subject to
change):
Psycho
Pumpkinhead
Crow
Chucky (from first movie)
Scream
Michael Myers.
Then we'll come out with the boxed set of Chucky and Bride
from their movie.
Of course, EVERYTHING is subject to change.
Speaking for fans everywhere, I Beg you to please hold onto those Michael Myers and Ghostface contracts like they were your firstborn children!
Luckily, McFarlane still has Months before the line is released so there is no need to panic yet.
2-26-99

Just a couple of Updates on Series 2. As some of you have probably heard by now, Norman Bates is on hold for now and if he doesn't make the line, Chucky and Tiffany will be packaged separately and made to a larger scale to fill out the line. People at McFarlane seem confident though that Norman may have a chance at making the line since it doesn't come out until Fall.
The Crow will come with a Coat Molded on, not pictured in the Toy Fair Preview. He will also have NO articulation below the waist. Upper Body and Waist only.
